Damn, Where Did That Slab of Concrete Come From?

We're going to guess that Taiwanese authorities placed a slab of concrete in front of this zebra crossing to protect pedestrians from vehicles, but it also seems to work as a punishment tool for impatient drivers.

Take this gifted driver of a black Toyota sedan, who not only disregarded the red light but also tried to make a quick illegal left turn.

Lucky Scooter Rider Survives Highway Bump Unscathed

Here's another tale from Asian roads - one that has a happy ending, though, as you will soon see for yourself, it could have easily gone the other way with painfully disastrous results…

The driver of the car, the sounds of which reminds us of a Subaru model, was going faster than what the road traffic permitted, and at the same time, a scooter rider in the middle lane failed to look over his shoulder while changing lanes.

Someone Should Find this Driver and Report Him/Her to the Police

Making an honest mistake while sitting behind the wheel is one thing, being careless or to put it bluntly, a complete asshat, is quite another.

On Sunday, the driver of a previous generation Honda CR-V (possibly in Taiwan - if we're wrong, tell us in the comments) was filmed by a motorcyclist making an extremely dangerous move on the road when he or she drove between a Nissan Sentra and a scooter driven by a father with his child riding at the back, almost knocking them down.

Daewoo Lanos Uses Up One of its Nine Lives

In today's fix of dascham goodness, we have a Daewoo Lanos sedan that somehow ended up crossing the road in reverse – we say somehow, because from this distance and angle, we're not sure if there was a person behind the wheel or if the car was left unsecured.

Whatever the reason or…lack of reason, if you prefer, the white compact saloon backed up on the road and was almost hit by an oncoming car traveling at high speed.

Poor Girl Gets Whacked in the Head from a Truck's Open Tailgate

We’ll fully agree with those of you who believe that pedestrians should use the sidewalk and not the road, but in this particular incident, we think the fault lies chiefly with the truck driver who hadn't  secured the vehicle's tailgate. Read more »

Honda Pulls the Wraps Off its New Low-Cost Brio Amaze Small Sedan [w/Video]

What you see here is Honda's brand new small sedan for emerging markets, mainly in Asia and countries such as Thailand, where it is called the Brio Amaze and India, where it will be offered as the Amaze.

The Amaze is the sedan derivative of the Brio five-door hatchback released last year in the same region.

In Thailand, which is the first country to receive the car, the Amaze is offered with the same 1.2-liter i-VTEC gasoline engine found on the hatch.

The four-cylinder unit produces 90 horsepower and can be matched to either a 5-speed manual gearbox or a CVT, delivering a fuel economy of 20km/lt, equal to 5.0lt/100km and 47mpg US / 56.5mpg UK.

Porsche Cayman Coupe Slams Into the Rear End of a Truck without Lights

The driver of a Porsche Cayman coupe was filmed by an adjacent vehicle fitted with a dashboard-mounted camera smashing violently into the rear end of a truck at high speed.

The accident, which looks like it took place in China or at least in a neighboring country (if any of our readers can help with the translation, leave us a message in the comments), occurred when the Cayman driver didn't notice the truck that did not have any lights open at the back and was traveling on the left hand side of the road.

Toyota Vios Collects a Not So Friendly Bump from a Lexus RX

One of the worst things that can happen to a driver travelling on a highway is for one or more cars to suddenly slow down in front, as not all motorists keep a safe distance from each other nor do they always pay attention to what's going on ahead of them.

In this occasion, a group of vehicles slowed down on a highway located close to New Taipei in northern Taiwan, with a Lexus RX smashing into the rear end of a Toyota Vios sedan, sending it violently across the road.

Watch the Devastating Effects of a Truck's Tire Exploding on a Taiwanese Highway

Most of the times, when we think of a tire problem, our mind automatically goes to a flat, which is indeed a routine problem that can be quickly fixed. This can be done either by pulling over to the side of the road and swapping it with a spare, or in the case you roll on run-flats, by driving to a nearby tire shop.

A flat is one thing, but a tire blowout or explosion is a completely different and much, much more dangerous scenario altogether, even more so when you're talking about a large wheel on a heavy commercial vehicle.

Nothing says success hasn't gone to your head and that you remain a person of the people than a…parade of exotic and super luxurious automobiles, including more Lamborghini Aventador LP700-4 coupes (each priced at around $1 million in Malaysia) and Bentley Continental Flying Spur sedans than we care to count.

All this and more took place during the wedding of Malaysian badminton athletes Lee Chong Wei and Wong Mew Choo at the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre this past weekend.

Reckless Taiwanese Tour Bus Operator Causes Two Car Accident on Highway

From the first day we get to sit behind the wheel of an automobile, we are all told to check our mirrors and look over our shoulder before attempting to change lanes. As simple as this may sound, some drivers continue to have a problem grasping the concept…

From what we can tell by looking at this video, the person operating the tour bus in Taiwan's Hsinchu City didn't even turn on his blinkers when he abruptly entered the middle lane forcing the driver of the silver Toyota Corolla to lose and spin out of control.

BMW Tool Power Drifts Tuned M6 Coupe Into a Taxi Cab and a Motorcyclist in Vietnam

A BMW fan club event that took place on the streets of Vietnam's Ho Chi Minh City ( formerly known as Saigon) this past Sunday had an unexpected outcome when one of the drivers thought it would be a great idea to entertain the small crowd by power drifting his tuned M6 Coupe around a corner.

The owner of the matte-black M6, which is said to have some 700-horses lurking under its hood, lost control of the car and smashed into a park taxi van, narrowly avoiding its driver, but not the scooter rider that was located in front of the cab – fortunately, he was not seriously injured.
