Driver Proves 2013 Rolls Royce Phantom Can be Fun and Slightly Destructive Off the Road

A YouTube user named "TaxTheRich100", who you may remember from a recent video containing footage of a rare Bugatti EB110 SS, has shared a new clip with us, this time showing a 2013 Rolls Royce Phantom Series II – yes, that's the one officially introduced in March this year – in some politically incorrect action.

By that, we mean the driver took the £350,000 (~ €430,000 / US$560,000), 2.6 tonne beast for a mildly destructive ride on the picturesque British countryside.

This Rolls-Royced Nissan Patrol is So Wrong in So Many Levels…

When you think about Dubai and cars, you probably imagine exotic Italian coupes and über-luxurious limousines and crossovers, some of which possibly draped in shiny chrome foil wraps and tuned by some of Europe's most unapologetic tuning brands.

But there's also another side to Dubai's automotive scene, one less ritzy but equally gaudy at times.

One-Off Pininfarina Hyperion Found for Sale in Abu Dhabi Dealership

As impossible as it may seem for us mere mortals, even one-off special creations can quickly become mundane for extremely wealthy individuals.

Rolls-Royce collector Roland Hall from Britain, custom ordered the Hyperion from Pininfarina back in 2008 only to put the car up for sale a year later for €4.5 million (roughly US$6 million at today's exchange rates).

We're not aware if the car was actually sold at the time, but we re-discovered the Rolls Royce Hyperion listed for sale for an undisclosed price at an Abu Dhabi dealership.

Named after Hyperion, one of the Titans of Greek mythology, the convertible model was designed by Jason Castriota of former Saab fame and built by the Special Projects division of Pininfarina.

It is based on the running gear of the Rolls Royce Phantom Drophead Coupe with power coming from the British model's 6.75-liter V12 engine.

How often do you see a street occupied by a plethora of Rolls Royce Phantom models of all sorts including the limo, the Coupe and the Drophead Coupe variants?

Make your way through the jump to watch the videos.

$1.4 Million Rolls-Royce Phantom Drophead Coupe gets Soaked in Australia

We don't know what's more annoying about this video that shows a Rolls-Royce Phantom Drophead Coupe in Adelaide, Australia, with its top down being drenched in rainwater, reportedly for at least half an hour: the careless owner that didn't come out to see what was going on or the indifferent bypassers whose only concern was to film the spectacle.
