Ford Ecosport

Ford Ecosport

Ford EcoSport is produced since 2003 by Ford Motor Company. The car was designed exclusively in Brazil based on the first generation of Ford Fusion and was only sold in Latin America, selling (statistics by end of 2011) circulation of 700,000 copies. In 2012, the second generation of Ford EcoSport was built on the platform of Ford Fiesta 6-th generation.

Ford EcoSport is great for life in the USA: high ground clearance and all-wheel drive make it possible to move on any roads, and heated windshields and side mirrors creates opportunites to travel even in the coldest winter. Fuel economy is another strong point of Ford EcoSport.

Alloy wheels, silver front and back protective lining and external spare wheel complete the image of the car in which you will feel at home.

U Spy: Reader Spots a Bunch of Ford Prototypes Including New Ranger and Strange Mustang

Recently, CarScoop reader Anrev stumbled upon an unusually large gathering of Ford prototype models in Denver, Colorado, some of which were in full camouflage while others sported strange features that caught his, and ultimately, our attention as well.
Anrev explains what he saw and snapped with his camera:
"The Ford Test mule fleet is in Denver. Mustangs, Fusion, Fiesta, Ecosport with Japanese emblems, F150, Mondeo, Ranger and 2 other cars that are heavily padded and were covered. One was the size of the ecosport but more boxy. The other was the size of the Mustang but had a sharper nose and longer back roof line.
He continued: "The engineer that asked me to stop taking pics said they were in town for a few days. He started the Mustang while I was there and gave it a little gas. It may have SAID 5.0 on the side. But there's no way it was. Sounded like a V6."

Ford Lifts the Veil on Production 2013 EcoSport Small Crossover at the Beijing Auto Show

Only a few months after the debut of the EcoSport Concept at the New Delhi Auto Expo in January, Ford presented the production version of its new small crossover in a world premiere at the Auto China 2012 in Beijing.

Ford's answer to the Nissan Juke will be produced in China, India, Thailand and South America and will be offered in nearly 100 markets globally. The Detroit automaker did not say if the U.S. will be amongst those countries to get the EcoSport, though it is unlikely.

"The new EcoSport is full of personality," said J Mays, head of Ford Motor Company's design division. "Customers around the world immediately recognise its capability and SUV robustness that is achieved with aggressiveness. It is friendly and it’s a vehicle that really makes you smile."
