U Spy: Mercedes-Benz's Slinky CLA Sports Sedan Nabbed in Hungary

We mean it when we say it’s always a pleasure to host scoop pictures from you, our readers, and we feel especially honored when CarScoopers like Andor I. from the picturesque city of Budapest in Hungary select our site to send in their very first spy shots.
The prototype spotted by Andor is the upcoming Mercedes-Benz CLA compact sports sedan, or if you prefer, Stuttgart's "baby" CLS with a smaller footprint, but also a much smaller price tag than the brand's original four-door coupe.

Scoop: New Maserati Quattroporte Flagship Strips Down to the Skin

Eight years in the market is a long time, even for a specialty brand such as Maserati and a car like its Quattroporte sports saloon, however gorgeous it may be.
This will soon change, though, as the Italians are in the final development stages of the next generation Quattroporte, which for the first time ever, has been spied without the clunky plastic moldings of previous prototypes.

New Mercedes-Benz CLA Already Available in…Die Cast Miniature Form

Chevrolet to Offer 2014 Camaro with Corvette Z06's LS7 7.0-liter, 505HP V8?

A General Motors document published in the Camaro5 forums may shed some light on a new engine option being prepared for the 2014 Chevrolet Camaro.

Said document shows the 7.0-liter LS7 V8 engine added to the rest of the Camaro's available powerplants for the 2014 model year. The LS7 is used in the current Corvette Z06, in which it has an output of 505HP and 470 lb-ft (636.5 Nm) of maximum torque.

This is the New Mercedes-Benz CLA Compact Sports Saloon

While some people are enjoying Christmas Eve with their families, others are busy posting on forums and leaking official shots of new cars like the Mercedes-Benz CLA compact saloon.

A total of five images of the new Mercedes entry-level sedan including three of the exterior and two of the interior made their way online.

As was the case with the revealing CLA scoops in Iceland this past September, the car pictured here is a regular model fitted with Mercedes' AMG exterior and interior styling packages and not the CLA 45 AMG, which will feature a similar aero kit but will do away with the "diamond" front grille.

Being that it will be the first member of Mercedes-Benz's extended family of A-Class-based compact models to be offered in the States, the CLA is anticipated to make its world premiere on this side of the Atlantic, possibly as early as next month's Detroit Motor Show.

2014 Corvette C7 Drawings Appear to be the Real Deal

If you were one of those people who believed that GM won't be able to keep the new generation of the Corvette a complete secret until its scheduled official unveiling on January 13, 2013, you're right.

Adding to the official and leaked documents and drawings over the past few months is a new set of sketches from a member of the Corvette forums named "BlueOX", who had this to say:

2014 Mercedes-Benz E63 AMG Gets All-Wheel Drive Option, C&D Gets an Exclusive First Look

The 2014 Mercedes-Benz E-Class was officially revealed about a week ago and is clearly more than your typical middle-cycle facelift. Last time we checked, even though it sports a more aggressive face, the 2014MY has…18 engine options, at least in Europe, and none of them bears the AMG moniker.

But fear not, there’s going to be a new E63 AMG alongside the rest of the new E-Class range at the upcoming Detroit Motor Show. In fact, we’ve already snapped the new car doing the mandatory rounds in the Nordschleife a couple of months ago as well as a camouflage free model in Spain.

New Toyota Furia Sedan Concept Teased Ahead of Detroit Motor Show, Which Model Does it Preview?

With the 2013 North American International Auto Show in Detroit approaching closer, more and more automakers are opening their cards, though, most of the times, not to the extent we would all like…

Infiniti Adopts New Naming Strategy, Next G Series will be Called the Q50

Out with the old, in with the new, or at least that's what Infiniti is saying about its new nomenclature.

Beginning from next year, Infiniti will use the letter "Q" for all sedan, coupe and convertible models and the letters "QX" for SUVs and crossovers, adding a double digit at the end of both to signify the series and the hierarchy within the range.

The first Infiniti model to wear the brand's new badges is the G series' successor that will be revealed in sedan trim at the Detroit auto show in mid-January, and which will be called the Q50.

2014 BMW Z4 Roadster Ever So Faintly Revised, Gains New Entry Level sDrive18i Edition [85 Photos]

If you were waiting for BMW to apply some of the design lessons learned from Zagato's Coupe and Roadster concepts or at least take some inspiration from this speculative photoshop for its updated, 2014MY Z4, you'll be disappointed.

In fact, you will probably have to be an owner of the current model or a very dedicated Z4 fan to distinguish the styling changes on the hardtop roadster. These are limited to the three-dimensional design of the LED light rings on the headlamps, the BMW lettering on the LED accent lights on top, the new available 17- and 18-inch alloy wheels and a newly designed, tapered surround for the side indicators.

In addition, BMW has added a new Hyper Orange package that can be ordered with three new colors named Mineral Grey metallic, Glacier Silver metallic and Valencia Orange metallic, the latter of which is featured on the car pictured in this gallery,

This new styling package dresses up the interior of the Z4 in a combination of black leather and Alcantara with orange accent stiches, stripes, and door panels, a metal weave trim for the dashboard, and high-gloss black for the door openers and the gearshift or selector lever.

2014 Corvette C7 Shows its Nose on GM Service Manual

While Chevrolet was releasing the third and in our opinion, less interesting of the…rather tedious video trailers for its upcoming Corvette C7, GM allegedly sent scoop photographer Chris Doane this image from a service manual for the "Front brake cooling deflector kit installation", which he then posted on his Facebook page.

The drawings show the front end of the new 2014 Corvette, which features more prominent and larger headlamps than the current model along with a distinct hood scoop(s) and the front fender air outlet.

If you're willing to trade some passenger space for a more stylish body and at the same time, don't care about the €25,000 (about US$32,900, in Germany) premium over BMW's other super-fast sports saloon, the M5, then by all means, you should check out the new M6 Gran Coupe.

Third 2014 Corvette C7 Trailer Shows Seats, Carbon Trim, Not Much Else

There's no need to explain why we're getting impatient for the full reveal of the upcoming 2014 Corvette C7, and to be honest, Chevrolet isn't really helping with its video trailers, the third of which was released online today.

After the first trailer that talked about the seventh generation Corvette's body and aerodynamics and the second one called 'Calibration' in which we saw the sports car's digital instrument cluster, the third episode is named 'Craft' and it tells us about the upscale materials and craftsmanship that goes into the creation of its new interior…again, without really showing anything.

Scoop: Updated 2014 Volvo S80 Facelift Spotted in China

Not too long ago, in early October to be precise, Doug Speck, global head of marketing and sales for Volvo Car, told U.S. publication Autonews that the Swedish company is preparing a facelift for both the S60 and S80 sedans.
