The Alfa Romeo 2000 Sportiva was a 2 litre sports car concept developed in the early 1950s.
It was designed by Franco Scaglione from Bertone, two coupes and two spiders (roadsters) were made.
The car was intended to go mass production but that never happened.
Power of the Sportiva concept came from a two-litre version of the 1900 engine,
fitted with hemispherical combustion chambers. Like many contemporary
Formula 1 racers, it was fitted with a DeDion axle at the rear.
The engine produced 138 PS (101 kW; 136 hp), that gave top speed of 220 km/h (137 mph).
The all aluminum body sits in a spaceframe chassis (seen also in Disco Volante).
