The Dino Berlinetta Speciale was designed by Aldo Brovarone.
It was built on a retired Dino 206S/SP racing chassis and had a small 2 liter V6 engine.
The name and engine trace their roots back to 1957, when Enzo Ferrari named
his new V6 Formula Two 156 engine after his son Dino Ferrari.
There was only one made (S/N: #0840).
It was introduced to the public on the Pininfarina stand at the Paris Auto Show in 1965.

The radical Pininfarina Sergio concept that just debuted at the 2013 Geneva Motor Show evokes
the spirit of the 1965 (Ferrari) Dino 206 GT Berlinetta Speciale Pininfarina Prototipo.
It does so by sharing similar styled bulging fenders, sensual wings,
deep crimson color and a large block of Plexiglas covering the front headlights
in what would normally be the air intake location.
